 We are Soraya and Jan Willem van de Vreugde and this is our shop.

De Vreugde, which is situated in the heart of the Jordaan district, offers a large selection of designer furniture, lamps and wallpaper from the 50s, 60s and 70s. It also stocks a diversity of gadgets from the same period.

You’ll find a happy mix of styles and furniture: an Eames-armchair alongside a Saarinen table, and a Pastoe cabinet next to a Matinelli lamp.

De Vreugde also sells beautifully-designed non-branded furniture.

The shop’s collection has meanwhile become so large, that the proprietors have opened their warehouse with 1000m2 showroom for the public every Wednesday and Saturday. If you share the proprietors’ passion for design, you simply have to visit their warehouse and shop.

Deze winkel in het hartje van de Jordaan heeft een uitgebreide designcollectie meubelen, lampen en behang uit de jaren ‘50, ‘60 en ’70, en allerlei gadgets uit deze periode. Alle stijlen tref je hier aan.

Zo staat een Eames-fauteuil broederlijk naast een Saarinen-tafel, of een Pastoe-kastje met een Matinelli-lamp ernaast.

Daarnaast is er goed vormgegeven no-name design.

Het assortiment is inmiddels zo groot dat nu ook hun loods met showroom van 1000m2 elke woensdag en zaterdag geopend is voor liefhebbers. Wie net zo’n passie voor design heeft als de eigenaren, moet eens een keer bij De Vreugde Design & Collectables komen kijken.
